Raising Up His Church (Part 2)

In our last teaching we began to stress the importance of team work in raising up strong churches. The enemy likes to isolate and divide God’s people so that the multiplying power of teamwork is broken and the witness of Christ is marred before the world. Many models that are followed in the church world do not resemble God’s pattern revealed in the scriptures (Acts 13:1-4)

In this teaching I want to emphasize the wisdom that comes from a proper biblical team. We all have different anointings and different functions. We all have limited revelation and limited strength. Regardless of how powerful we are in ministry or life, we are limited and will find definite weakness in ourselves, on how to build the kingdom of God successfully. But joined to the right people our strength multiplies “One can chase a thousand but two can put ten thousand to flight (Deuteronomy 32:30)”. That’s why our Lord sent out teams two by two and traveled often with the twelve. Multiplied strength, multiplied prayer, multiplied revelation and multiplied wisdom!!

In a team that is put together by God that chooses to walk in the Spirit, the wisdom of the Lord will be activated, multiplied and demonstrated. Proverbs says “by wise counsel we make war, and in a multitude of counselors there is safety”(Proverbs 24:6). There is strength in numbers - the strength of wisdom. Christ the Wisdom of God manifests Himself not just through one but through a group that is teamed together to build the Kingdom of God. The Lord speaks through His people, that is why it is important to be in relationship with those that follow after the wisdom of God and not the wisdom of this world (James 3:15 & 17).

Prophetic direction, prophetic gifts and revelation that bring God’s mind and wisdom flow deepen on a team (1 Corinthians 14:29). Decisions that effect others in a great way are best made when the five fold ministry teams together (Ephesian 4:11) and offers proper checks and balances.

Wisdom to raise up the next generation, wisdom for strategies to reach cities and nations, wisdom to solve complex issues and problems will come to those who are in proper team relationships and team ministries “to the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose which he purposes in Christ Jesus our Lord”(Ephesians 2:10-11).

May the Lord grace us to pray together and be open to what He says through each other so that we may live and move in the wisdom of His Spirit and the scriptures. May God deliver us from the foolishness of religious patterns and endeavors that are void of the wisdom of God, for a greater one that Solomon abides in us and He longs to release His supernatural wisdom.
